Ans:

The employment third preference is for aliens with a bachelor's degree or less. It is basically a catch-all category for people who do not qualify under the first or second preference categories. A Labor Certification or a National Interest Waiver is required for employment third preferences. Employment third preference is divided into the following:

  1. professionals with bachelor's degrees in their fields,
  2. skilled workers, i.e. aliens who have at least two years of training or experience in occupations which requires such training or experience,
  3. unskilled workers.
