Edward Lau has been in private practice since 1973. He specializes in international business litigation, international law, commercial disputes, international trade, personal injury, estate planning, enforcement of foreign judgments and immigration law
PROFESSIONAL AFFILIATIONS
Edward Lau has been a member of the U.S. delegation to the Hague Convention for the drafting of the treaty on enforcement of judgments since 2000. He is also active in the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) where he is on the Board of Governors, is on the teaching faculty of the National College of Advocacy, is the former Chair of the International Practice Section and the Section Leader's Council, and was the Founder of the International Relations Committee. He was the Vice Chair of the Dispute Resolution & Litigation Section of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association. Edward Lau is also a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), the American Immigration Lawyer's Association (AILA), and the International Section of the State Bar of California.

Based upon his experience and accomplishments, Edward Lau has been has been recognized as a Diplomate in Trial Advocacy by the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
