u.s. immigration & nationality law

U.S. Immigration & Nationality Law involves two broad categories: temporary visits and permanent moves to the United States. Our office handles all aspects of immigration law. Our firm's emphasis in litigation and our extensive experience in this area of law gives us the special ability to handle complex immigration cases. Therefore, many of our clients come to us because they have difficult problems in their case, such as a criminal conviction, a violation of immigration laws, are out of status, etc., or have already been denied and face deportation. Often people come to us after their applications have been rejected after being handled by themselves or another law firm. We would then come in and try to appeal your case.

Our immigration services include the following:

NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS

Non-Immigrant Visas involve short-term visits to the United States. The visitor is just coming to the U.S. for a short time for business or pleasure without the intent of staying permanently. This could be to visit a family member in the U.S., to conduct some business, to receiving training, to help set up a U.S. branch office, etc.

IMMIGRANT VISAS

Immigrant Visas involve the permanent move to the United States. Maybe a foreign person may want to simply move to the U.S., or get married to a U.S. Citizen, come to the U.S. to join a family member, or open up a new company in the United States. There are several broad categories for these permanent moves: Family Based Visas, Employment Based Visas, and Political Asylum.

CITIZENSHIP

After you receive your greencard and become a permanent resident, you last and final step in becoming a permanent member of our U.S. society is to become a U.S. Citizen. Our office can assist you in the naturalization process.

OUR SPECIALTY IMMIGRATION AREAS

Our office specializes in very complex areas of immigration law. Simple and straightforward immigration applications can be handled by any attorney or legal service. Many of our clients come to our firm because of our unique level of expertise and experience in handling complex and borderline cases where there are severe problems that could lead to deportation or denial of your application. Such areas include: Deportation, Deferred Inspection, Criminal Matters, and Political Asylum.
